UNS C44500 Copper-Zinc-Tin Alloy, commonly known as Admiralty Brass or Arsenical Brass, is a high-performance copper-zinc alloy containing small additions of tin and arsenic that enhance corrosion resistance in seawater and brackish environments. With approximately 70% copper, 29% zinc, and 1% tin, C44500 provides a perfect balance of strength, ductility, and heat transfer efficiency, making it ideal for marine condensers, heat exchangers, desalination equipment, and oil refineries.

What Is UNS C44500 Copper-Zinc-Tin Alloy?

UNS C44500 is a tin-bearing Admiralty Brass alloy mainly composed of copper, zinc, and tin with small arsenic additions for enhanced corrosion resistance. The tin element significantly improves resistance to dezincification in seawater and brine environments, making C44500 ideal for condenser tubes and marine heat exchangers.

Compared with ordinary brass alloys, C44500 offers:
