ASTM B111 covers seamless tubes and pipes made from copper-nickel alloys with excellent corrosion and biofouling resistance in seawater and brine solutions. The most common grades include:
UNS C70600 (90-10 Copper Nickel): 90% Copper, 10% Nickel, with small additions of iron and manganese for improved corrosion and erosion resistance.
UNS C71500 (70-30 Copper Nickel): 70% Copper, 30% Nickel, offering higher strength and resistance to high-velocity seawater conditions.
