C276 Hastelloy clad steel plate is a composite metal plate made by bonding a corrosion-resistant Hastelloy C276 / UNS N10276 alloy layer onto a structural steel base plate. The C276 layer provides resistance to strong acids, chlorides, oxidizing media, reducing environments, pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking, while the steel backing offers mechanical strength, weldability and cost control.

Compared with solid Hastelloy C276 plate, C276 clad steel significantly reduces nickel alloy consumption while maintaining corrosion protection on the working surface. This makes it suitable for large pressure vessels, reaction tanks, tube sheets, heat exchangers, scrubbers, evaporators and chemical storage equipment.

Hastelloy C276 is widely recognized for resistance to chloride-bearing solutions, oxidizing and non-oxidizing acids, and localized corrosion environments. Its low carbon content also helps reduce carbide precipitation in welded heat-affected zones.
