201 stainless steel plate is a chromium-nickel-manganese austenitic stainless steel. Its typical composition includes 16.0–18.0% chromium, 3.5–5.5% nickel and 5.5–7.5% manganese, with manganese and nitrogen partly replacing nickel to reduce material cost.
201 stainless steel provides good formability and mechanical strength.
