What Is Brushed Stainless Steel Sheet?

 

Brushed stainless steel sheet is a cold-rolled stainless steel flat product with a mechanically produced directional surface texture.

The finish is created using abrasive belts, brushes or non-woven abrasive media. The process reduces the uniform reflectivity of the original mill surface and creates a controlled linear or satin appearance.

A brushed surface is primarily an appearance and functional surface finish. It does not change the chemical composition of the stainless steel substrate.

The term "brushed stainless steel" is widely used, but it does not define one universal appearance.

No.4 Brushed Finish

No.4 is a general-purpose polished stainless steel finish with a visible, directional texture and moderate reflectivity.
